PRIVATE EVENT (Not Open to the Public) Lasha Barbosa is excited to collaborate with the Edmonton Public Schools Specialized Learning Supports to create a fun and engaging day for our Fort McMurray's Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students teaching them how to create their own side-portrait profile!

About the event
Lasha will be focusing on helping each student create a personalized side-portrait profile. Using the Old Masters approach to light and shading while remaining fluid and having fun adding tactile materials to represent hearing technology and our ASL hand signs, Lasha will help Edmonton Public Schools Specialized Learning Supports student's create an empowering, "super-powered" side-portrait profile for each student to take home at the end of the day!
Once students finish their profiles, they move to one of three art stations using personally drawn sketches by Lasha Barbosa as coloring pages. These stations will give the students opportunities to practice various methods from Lasha focusing on fun, colorful exploration of Ink Art.
